Danai Papadopoulou studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Europeans studies at the College of Europe.

She received a PhD from the King’s College London with a dissertation on «Civil liability for environmental damage and the role of public interest groups».
She is a staff member with the LIBE (Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs) of the European Parliament where she works since 2013 specialised on European asylum issues.
