Alexandros Papaioannou studied International Relations at the London School of Economics and has a master’s degree in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe. He is a diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served in the Embassies of Rome, Moscow, the Holy See, Tunis, as well as in the Permanent Representation to the European Union. He also worked in the offices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs George A. Papandreou, the Deputy Minister of International Economic Affairs and Development Assistance, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis and as a diplomatic adviser to Mr. Giorgos Koumoutsakos, Deputy Minister for Migration. He has worked for many years as a Policy Advisor in the Policy Planning Unit in the Office of the NATO Secretary General and then in the NATO’s Directorate of Political Affairs and Security Policy, where he was primarily involved in relations with the EU. Since October 2020 he is a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kalliopi Stefanaki is Head of legal protection in the Refugee Protection Unit – UNHCR Greece. She studied Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed her postgraduate studies in Public International Law at the University of Paris II. She is a lawyer and has been working in the fields of human rights and refugee rights since 1998. She served in the Greek Ombudsman’s Office, in the Human Rights Department. In addition, she has worked with the European Commission and the European Parliament office in Paris.
